Art Horn, founder and president of HORN, is a highly regarded educator, consultant, speaker, and coach.

Art is the author of four books - Skills for Sales Success (used by colleges and universities across Canada), Gifts of Leadership (distributed in different languages across North America, Europe and Asia), FACE IT : Recognizing and Conquering The Hidden Fears That Drive All Conflict At Work ( published in 2004 by the American Management Association), and BEYOND EGO, released in April of 2008 by ECW Press. He has helped thousands to make valuable, meaningful improvements to their personal and professional lives.

Art’s graduate and post-graduate degrees are in Psychology and Philosophy. His professional focus is on the topic of self-management. He applies principles from this field to help people influence others with integrity, manage change effectively, lead teams, and set and achieve personal objectives.


Barbara Gaiptman Barbara Gaiptman

Barbara Gaiptman, Vice-President, Client Relations, joined HORN in 1998. Barbara has a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from McGill University and a Master's in Education from OISE/UT. Prior to joining HORN, Barbara was on faculty at the University of Toronto. She has been both a clinician and administrator in a number of healthcare facilities in Montreal and Toronto. Barbara has published articles in the field of adult education and is the author of Fundamentals of Supervision.

Barb's diversified background in healthcare, adult education, and business provide her with a solid understanding of the issues impacting performance improvement. Her knowledge of consulting and demonstrated expertise in building strong customer-focused relationships enables her to work collaboratively with clients and provide customized solutions strategically linked to their key business objectives. She is committed to insuring that the solutions HORN provides to its clients take strategic and organizational issues into account and are designed, planned, and implemented to achieve specific goals.

Barb has worked extensively with a range of organizations from a variety of industries including consumer package goods, pharmaceuticals, financial, and the high-tech industry.


Sean Verhoeven Sean Verhoeven
Vice-President, Senior Consultant

Sean Verhoeven has over ten years of experience working with consumer packaged goods companies in Canada, including Carling-O'Keefe Breweries, Molson Breweries, and Warner Lambert Canada.

He brings to the learning environment experience in sales, sales management, public relations, promotion, category management, and brand management. While at Warner Lambert, Sean was also heavily involved with training and development in both the Consumer Healthcare and Adams Brands Confectionery divisions. He has an honors business degree from Wilfrid Laurier University.

Sean has training experience in both the North American and European markets. His clients include Air Canada, Air New Zealand, Bayer Consumer Care, Canadian Securities Institute, CB Richard Ellis, CIBC, Coca-Cola, Enbridge Home Services, GlaskoSmithKline, IBM, Kellogg, Kodak, Manulife Financial, Standard Life, Sun Life Financial, Toronto Blue Jays, Unilever, and University of Toronto.


Lynne Gallacher Lynne Gallacher
Vice President, Design and Measurement

Lynne Gallacher is HORN’s Vice President of Design and Measurement and is responsible for the HORN Centre of Applied Measurement and ensuring the alignment between course design and all pre- and post-measurement. Lynne is also one of HORN’s senior sales force consultants.

Lynne’s role at HORN is informed by her more than 15 years of high-level management work at two major consumer packaged goods companies, Kraft Foods and Kimberly-Clark. She held positions at these two Fortune 100 companies in corporate strategy and development, brand management, customer marketing and sales, giving her a strategic, in-depth, and on-the-ground understanding of business management and sales. She possesses a wealth of hands-on experience in leadership, business management, and team development.

Lynne holds an Honors Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario, and a certificate in Mergers and Acquisitions from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. She also completed the Canadian Securities course from the Canadian Securities Institute.

Some of Lynne's recent clients include Sun Life Financial, Pitney Bowes, ADP, Allstream, Royal and Sun Alliance, Levi Strauss, Novopharm, Sanofi-Synthelabo, Dell, General Mills, and Unilever.


Suzanne Carlaw Suzanne Carlaw
Vice President, Client Project Leadership

Suzanne Carlaw leads project management and client support for all HORN’s projects. She closely interfaces with HORN’s clients to ensure successful projects that optimize client satisfaction.

Suzanne’s career experience comprises leadership roles in market development, sales support, customer support, consulting, and project management. She has worked for such companies as Pratt & Whitney, Qwest Communications, Ortech, Cyberplex, and CDI Education. Suzanne and her teams have served client firms within a diverse industry base, including financial services, technology services, telecommunications, consulting services, and automotive.

Throughout her career, Suzanne’s focus has always been to achieve excellence in client services, with an emphasis on building customer-focused teams and instilling best practices in project management. Suzanne has also provided coaching in customer relationship management, and developed communications processes for client feedback.

Suzanne has a Bachelor of Arts degree from McGill University, a diploma in Executive Leadership from the University of Western Ontario, and a certificate in the Canadian Securities Course from the Canadian Securities Institute.


Glenn Johnson
Director, Client Project Leadership

As the leader of HORN’s project management team, Glenn works closely with his fellow team members to ensure the smooth execution and successful delivery of all clients’ learning initiatives. In fulfilling this function, Glenn liaises extensively with clients throughout the life cycle of their projects and oversees the management of project plans. His commitment is to produce top-quality deliverables and experiences that fully meet client expectations.

Glenn’s career experience includes leadership roles in learning & development, operations management, client services, project management, and strategic marketing services within industry-leading performance improvement organizations. These have included Maritz Canada Inc., PPL Marketing Services, and GE Capital (Solutions) Canada.

Glenn has also worked extensively as a business consultant with clients in the insurance, pharmaceutical, financial services, and telecommunications sectors. He has successfully partnered with them to improve their capabilities in organizational development and business process management.

Throughout his career, Glenn has successfully leveraged his strong interpersonal communication, situational analysis, and creative thinking skills to establish immediate rapport with clients and then develop new strategies, approaches, and solutions that uniquely support individuals, teams, and organizations in their success.

Glenn’s formal educational background includes studies in Business Administration at the University of New Brunswick and McMaster University (BBA, MBA).


Jorge Pinotti Jorge Pinotti

Jorge Pinotti’s rich and varied international experience is a valuable resource for HORN clients. He is an experienced business coach, trainer, and speaker who has worked in Latin America, Europe, the United States, and Canada.

Jorge has many years of experience delivering training sessions in his native language of Spanish. He earned a law degree at the University of Buenos Aires, where he also pursued post-graduate studies. He has worked with such organizations as Scotiabank International Banking, the University of Buenos Aires, the Argentinean-Florida Chamber of Commerce, Sonora University, the National Institute of Cooperative Action and Mutual Organizations, and the Municipality of Buenos Aires.

Jorge is an expert in the field of “ontological coaching.” Through this approach he brings to client projects a keen understanding of how salespeople and leaders are wholly responsible for their outlook and their success. As a writer in the field of management, he has written five books and numerous articles on coaching. Jorge has been featured in Toronto’s Latin Life News Magazine and was named Hispanic Professional of the Month.

La rica y variada experiencia internacional de Jorge Pinotti es una valiosa fuente de recursos para los clientes de HORN. Jorge es un experimentado coach ejecutivo y conferencista que ha trabajado en Latinoamérica, Europa, Estados Unidos y Canadá.

Jorge tiene muchos años de experiencia dando seminario y facilitando entrenamientos en Castellano, su lengua natal. Jorge es graduado en Leyes de la Universidad de Buenos Aires, donde también siguió estudios de postgrado. Ha trabajado con organizaciones tales como el Scotiabank Internacional, la Universidad de Buenos Aires, La cámara de Comercio de Florida y Argentina, la Universidad de Sonora, El Instituto de Nacional de Acción Cooperativa y Mutual y la Municipalidad de Buenos Aires.

Graham Kaufmann has accumulated over fifteen years experience working with consumer packaged goods companies in Canada. His clients have included Labatt Breweries, Adams Canada and Cadbury Schweppes.

He brings to the learning environment experience in senior brand management, sales and sales management. While at Adams Brands, Graham migrated from sales into a progressive path on the marketing side, where he led both regional and global initiatives, eventually assuming a senior leadership role on Canada’s largest confectionary portfolio.

Graham has an MBA from the Ivey School of Business, and an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Economics from McMaster University. Graham is an energized, dynamic public speaker who infuses passion, knowledge and his own personal experience into every delivery.

Drawing on over 25 years of experience in accounting and finance, acquisition/merger integration, sales team development, facilitation and consulting, Lucie has worked with all levels of the organization from senior executives to supervisors to front-line employees. Audiences include the financial, manufacturing and health care sectors.

Her areas of expertise include personal and team coaching, sales effectiveness, leadership, and change management. Her career has taken her around the globe: North and South America, Europe, India, Africa and Australia, working in line and staff positions, and as a facilitator. Although cultures, languages and organizations may be different, the challenges are similar, and thus, experiences and learnings can be shared. Lucie’s enthusiastic and dedicated approach engages participants in the learning process.

Lucie holds an MBA from the Schulich School of Business and a Bachelor of Administration from the University of Ottawa. She also holds a Certified Human Resource Professional designation (CHRP). She is fluently bilingual, in French and English.

David RobinsonDavid Robinson

David Robinson brings to his projects over 15 years of experience in sales, management, public relations, promotions, and the performing arts. He has brought his unique set of skills to a diverse list of clients, including Allstream, CIBC, Mercedes-Benz Canada, and Sun Life Financial.

As a trainer, David has specialized in helping people develop their coaching, selling, presenting, and influential communication skills. His consulting focus has been in product promotion, business-to-business marketing, and consumer education programs.

David has served clients in a wide array of industries and sectors, most notably automotive, travel and tourism, consumer health, retail, and supply chain management and logistics.

David, who holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, is also a veteran spokesperson, announcer, and television host.


Anne Godfrey Anne Godfrey

Anne has over 20 years of diverse consulting and senior management experience. Her career began in advertising with Ogilvy and Mather, followed by 10 years with Ralston Purina, where she served on the management team as Director of Marketing. She then worked for six years with a training consulting firm partnering with diverse clients to address a broad range of management issues. Anne joined HORN in 2003.

Anne’s past and current experiences and responsibilities include sales, marketing, senior management, public relations, change management, retail management, not-for-profit board member and president, and mindfulness meditation. Her depth and breadth of curiosity and knowledge about business, politics, the media, and social issues enables her to bring unique and innovative perspectives to her clients.

Anne has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto and a Master’s of Business Administration degree from York University.


Robin Cooper Robin Cooper

Robin Cooper brings to her role as HORN’s Director of Client Relations over ten years of experience working with large private sector clients in manufacturing, hospitality, consumer packaged goods, and technology.

Robin is well recognized for her acumen in business development. Her diversified roles in business and clinical settings give her a unique understanding of her clients’ strengths and challenges. Her passion, empathy, and commitment to excellence enable her to connect with clients, collaborating with them on solutions targeted to their strategic business goals.

Robin has a bachelor’s degree in social work from Ryerson University and has practised as a clinician in a variety of health-care settings.


Lisa Young Lisa Young
Director, Measurement and e-Learning

Lisa’s educational credentials are extensive. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science, a Bachelor’s of Education, a Master’s of Arts (Education) and is currently completing her Doctorate of Education at OISE/University of Toronto. Lisa is a published author and has presented at numerous conferences in the fields of adult education, online learning, eLearning management, wearable technology, communities of practice, and telementoring.

Lisa’s rich experience in both organizational and research environments scaffolds her academic history. She utilizes her strong background in measurement and evaluation to provide multi-level assessment and illustrate ROI on large-scale training initiatives. Her advanced knowledge of instructional design is applied to the design and development of complex, highly customized learning programs. Her extensive knowledge of online learning allows her to accurately analyse potential eLearning and blended opportunities based on organizational infrastructure and environment, to ensure that the training methodology utilized best suits the proposed training objectives.

Lisa has played lead roles in a variety of organizations including those in telecommunications, financial services, healthcare, and the manufacturing industry.


All of our facilitators are experienced sales managers and trainers. They are dynamic, clear, and concise communicators who pride themselves on their ability to think on their feet — to constantly adapt and refine their training onsite and create a positive and rewarding climate for participants.
