| HORN’s
CPSA Certification Program HORN
is pleased to announce that we are now
able to offer a CPSA-approved,
customized training program for clients
wishing to certify their sales force.
Our core curriculum was presented for
review to the Canadian Professional
Sales Association (CPSA) and proved
to meet all the necessary educational
requirements.
HORN can now extend certification training
to those clients whose customized training
programs will cover the CPSA Sales Institute’s
four mandatory sales competencies (the
Consultative Selling Process, Communication,
Relationship Building, and Marketing/Prospecting).
The training content must also cover
two optional competencies as selected
by HORN. The link for CPSA Sales Competencies is:

Course materials designed by HORN,
when developed with the goal of certification
in mind, will be treated by the CPSA
as equivalent to the 40 hours of sales
education required by the CPSA. Upon
completion of the program, learners
are deemed ready to challenge the mandatory
CPSA-administered examination. Learners
must also have a minimum of two years
of sales experience, as well as commit
to a CPSA-created Code of Ethics. All
those who complete the course and pass
the exam are expected to maintain membership
in CPSA as well as undertake 20 hours
of annual professional development.
The CPSA has been offering federally
recognized certification to qualified
sales professionals for approximately
10 years. As a matter of fact, it was
in 1995 that the CPSA engaged HORN,
with sponsorship from the federal government,
to create the original learning content and design
the written and oral examinations for
certification. Since that time the CPSA
has been making the courses of study
originally designed by horn available
in college and university campuses across
Canada. The decision of the CPSA to
grant HORN clients equivalency is a
significant milestone for both the CPSA
and HORN.
The Canadian Professional Sales Association
(CPSA) is a national association comprised
of nearly 30 000 sales and marketing
professionals located in communities
of all sizes in every part of Canada.
For over 120 years the CPSA has been
advancing the standards and practices
of the sales profession. CPSA members
represent the full spectrum of the sales
profession, including senior managers,
entrepreneurs, sales managers and sales
representatives.
HORN is excited to offer this new program
and is eager to work with all those
Sales Professionals looking to demonstrate
commitment and dedication to their careers
and profession.
